When you cannot be there at all
Storage on this site does something specific: it turns two impossible days into one workable one. Collect when your rota allows, hold the goods, and deliver when you actually have keys and a free day.
The two dates almost never meet cleanly. On a shift pattern they almost never meet at all.
How storage works here
Two impossible days into one
This is the honest use of storage for anybody on a shift pattern. The day you have to be out is fixed by a tenancy or a completion. The day you can get into the next place is fixed by somebody else. Neither is likely to fall on a day you are free.
Holding breaks the link. You go out on the day that is forced, and you go in on a day you choose — which is frequently the only version of the move that does not cost you leave.
The list is the product
Storage without an inventory is a container you cannot see into. Ours is made at the property as the vehicle is loaded, and it describes contents rather than counting cartons.
That matters more than usual when you were not there for the collection, which on this site is a common arrangement rather than an unusual one.
Part now, part later
A normal request. What you need immediately goes into the new place on the day; the rest waits until there is room or until you have a free day to deal with it.
Tell us at collection that you expect to split it. It changes how the load is stacked and saves an afternoon of moving other people's things to reach yours.
What cannot be held
Nothing hazardous, nothing perishable, nothing alive. Money, documents, passports and jewellery stay with you — a store is not somewhere you can call in on at short notice, and those are exactly the things people need unexpectedly.

01 How long can things stay?
As long as the gap runs. Some holds are a single night between an evening load and a morning delivery; others run for weeks while a tenancy sorts itself out.
02 Can you collect while we are at work?
Yes, and the two services are designed to work together. Keys, a plan, a named contact and a photographic record — see the unattended move page.
03 Can we get at our things?
Yes, given reasonable notice. If you think you will be dipping in regularly, tell us at collection — we build the stack differently when that is the plan.
04 Is it insured?
Goods in store are covered to the level your storage agreement states, subject to the exclusions written there. Declare anything of unusual value before collection.
05 Do you store for one night?
Frequently, and for a shift worker it is the single most useful shape we offer — load in the evening, deliver the next morning, same crew.
06 Can you deliver to a different address than you collected from?
Yes. On most of these jobs that is the point — the destination was not available when the goods were collected.
When can you actually be there?
Both addresses and the shift pattern rather than a date. We will hold a slot against the rota and firm it up when the roster lands.
